Staci Burns, a parent from Indiana, told The New York Times that she uses the YouTube Kids app to help her son, Isaac, learn colors and letters. Warning: it contains content that might be disturbing to some viewers. YouTube did not immediately respond to Romper's request for comment regarding allegations that inappropriate content can get past safety filters on YouTube Kids. Because unfortunately, experts say the videos could bring up all sorts of issues for kids that parents probably wouldn't anticipate when they sit them down for an innocent Paw Patrol video-viewing session. That's why experts are advising parents to watch a little more closely when their kids are using YouTube or YouTube Kids, even if you have safeguards in place to prevent mature content. In a case like that, it's possible that a parent could search for something like "learn colors" or "nursery rhymes" and unwittingly expose their kids to violent and disturbing imagery. The title of that particular video is reportedly "Bad Kids & Learn Colors Giant Watermelon Finger Family Song Nursery Rhymes | Learning Video For Kids," which clearly doesn't at all reflect the bizarre images in the video itself. For example, in just one video Spider-Man and Elsa from Frozen were shown "exchanging automatic gunfire with The Joker." "Knock-off videos" including popular characters from kids' programs, Disney cartoons, superhero movies, and more are hiding in plain sight on YouTube, according to Fast Company. And experts say parents need to monitor what their kids watch on YouTube, and step in when disturbing videos pop up. But as it turns out, some disturbing videos can easily get past the YouTube Kids app’s filters, according to The New York Times. " Pups Save the Penguins"/" Pups Save a Dolphin Pup" premiered before " Pups and the Pirate Treasure", and " Pups Find a Genie"/" Pups Save a Tightrope Walker" premiered before " Pups Save a Snowboard Competition"/" Pups Save a Chicken of the Sea".It's not totally unreasonable for a busy parent to think that if they set certain filters, or use an app like YouTube Kids, their kids can safely be left with a tablet or other device to entertain themselves with YouTube videos for a little while. Interestingly, Season 3, Season 5, Season 6, and Season 7 do not overlap. " The New Pup" was originally called " PAW Patroller Special", and " Air Pups" was originally called " Pups Take It to the Sky". Except for " Circus Pup-Formers", " A Pup in Sheep's Clothing", " All Star Pups!", " Parroting Pups", " Merpups Save the Turbots" and " The Pups' Winter Wonder Show", every time an episode had a name change, it introduced a new vehicle. So far, Season 1, Season 2 and Season 4 ended with a 22-minute episode. ![]() Every episode features a title card with a character on them (usually Ryder or a pup, and sometimes even another character, such as Francois). ![]() ![]() The series consists mostly of half episodes, though some are full episodes full episodes mostly being specials or holiday events. " Circus Pup-Formers", " The New Pup", " Air Pups", " Rocky Saves Himself", and any Mission PAW, Sea Patrol, Ultimate Rescue, Mighty Pups, Super Paws/Charged Up, Dino Rescue, and Moto Pups are a few exceptions.
